December 16, 2013
Endurance Global Weather made a clean sweep in Environmental Finance’s 2013 Annual Rankings for weather risk, winning Best Dealer in all four of the regions it surveys.
The largest and most watched survey of the leading participants in weather risk, carbon, renewable energy certificates, and catastrophe risk markets, the annual ranking polls companies, readers and other participants on which leading brokers and dealers provided the best service in the markets Environmental Finance covers over the past 12 months. Coming out on top in all four regions, Endurance Global Weather demonstrated that it thrived in these increasingly competitive markets.
Marty Malinow, President of Endurance Global Weather commented, “From our perspective, the key to driving the weather market forward will hinge on bringing new risks into the market, not more capital, and we are diligently working toward that end on a global basis both directly and through key intermediaries.” EGW is seeing progress in terms of accessing new risks, new customers and new markets with a prime example being the recently publicized derivative-based protection it executed with Willis Group for Roy Hill against the threat of cyclones and heavy rainfall delaying the construction of what will be the largest single-site iron ore mining operation in Australia. Malinow added, “We continue to see the value proposition to our customers as one of solving their weather-driven challenges of complexity, scale and tenor.”
