Kenneth J. LeStrange Speaks at Insurance Day's 2009 Summit in Bermuda

After speaking at the 2009 Insurance Day Annual Summit in Bermuda on June 16 - 17, Kenneth J. LeStrange, Endurance Chairman and CEO, was recently quoted in their fifth annual flagship supplement, "Risk Perspectives." A follow up to the Annual Summit, "Risk Perspectives" features prominent industry CEOs and senior executives, and provides a comprehensive view of the challenges facing the global re/insurance market.

Mr. LeStrange commented on Endurance’s strong performance in 2008, despite volatility in both the industry and the global economy, and noted that the company’s successful underwriting performance came as a result of having allocated additional capital to areas which have seen consistently strong performance and which allow for better control of data and exposures.

Despite the turbulent economic climate having weakened some of Endurance’s competitors in the insurance and reinsurance industries, Mr. LeStrange emphasized the strength of Endurance’s balance sheet and ratings, and commented that its "track record of transparency and integrity," and "industry-leading risk management culture" make it an attractive business partner. He also noted that international growth plans are a crucial element of Endurance’s strategy as it works toward its goal of becoming the best specialty insurance and reinsurance provider in the world.
